SHARPES — A Titusville man was killed Thursday and his passenger seriously injured when his SUV crashed into a palm tree west of Sharpes and was "completely engulfed in flames," Florida Highway Patrol troopers said Friday. The 22-year-old man was driving west on Canaveral Groves Boulevard east of Morris Avenue at about 12:08 p.m. Thursday when he traveled off the road for an unknown reason, troopers said.
